Raleigh & Durham

Getting There

Flying.

Raleigh Durham International Airport (RDU) is your airport of choice if you are flying in for the wedding! RDU is only 17 miles from the venue and will put you right in the heart of many things to see and do.

For those unfamiliar with the region any perceived cost differences with other airports are quickly offset by their distance from the wedding.
Greensboro (GSO) - 67 miles
Fayetteville (FAY) - 100 miles
Charlotte (CLT) - 147 miles
Wilmington (ILM) - 156 miles
Asheville (AVL) - 237 miles

Driving.

If you’re driving in from another state you’re a road trip veteran and I trust you to waze/google maps/paper maps your way here.

Lodging Recommendations

We have gotten some questions about hotel blocks. Unfortunately we could not find a hotel willing to offer us a standard wedding “courtesy block” at this time. It appears to be a pandemic circumstance. We apologize for the inconvenience. We have offered info regarding the two hotels below as a guide to hotels we could recommend close to the venue.

Things To Do

Museum of Life and Science
Durham

While we’re getting married here and you’ll see some of the museum there is no way to see it all during the time spent at the wedding.
However we ask that you refrain from attending on the day of our wedding to allow us to be able to take photos prior to the wedding so we can join the party as soon as possible after the ceremony!

Alamo Drafthouse
Raleigh

Come see a movie at our favorite movie theater! We love it so much we even had our engagement party here.
With a full menu of sandwiches, pizzas, and appetizers along with 30 on tap beers and a full bar you can’t go wrong.
Note: come 30 minutes prior to show time to enjoy a themed pre-show

Duke Gardens
Durham

This 55 acre public botanical garden is open every day of the year and is completely free to attend.
The gardens are split into four zones dedicated to different types of plants and has five miles of walking paths to wind your way through the gardens.

NC Art Museum
Raleigh

This is a state owned museum and thus the main collection and extensive outdoor sculpture garden with walking trails is completely free!
The collection is extensive and has something for any art lover from ancient sculptures to modern paintings.
